Missing Saltdean teenager Owen Harding could be trying to get to York to see girlfriend - police ask for webcam footage

Missing 16 year old Owen Harding could be trying to travel to York to see his girlfriend his worried mum Stella has said.

The teenager went off to see the sunset last week after being upset that he could not get the train north because of the Covid-19 Coronavirus restrictions and he has not been seen since.

Owen left his home two hours before the ''applaud the NHS'' tribute, if you were on your doorstep and maybe noticed a young boy wandering in the Saltdean, Peacehaven, Telscombe Cliffs, Rottingdean, Newhaven,  Woodingdean or Brighton area, 6 ft tall, dark hair, wearing a dark hoodie, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers then please contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting reference 1198 26 March.   

Sussex Police are asking for anyone who may have been driving in the Saltdean area on Thursday 26th March around 6pm to please check their dash cam footage for any sight of Owen. 

Missing teen 'on 280-mile trek to girlfriend'

A teenager missing for six days may have tried to walk 280 miles to see his girlfriend, his mother has said. Owen Harding, 16, was last seen leaving his home in Saltdean, Sussex, last Thursday. His mum Stella said he had been upset at being unable to get a train to visit girlfriend Meg in Pocklington, near York, amid the coronavirus lockdown.
