The Brighton Speed Trials were held on Saturday the 7th of September 2019 in almost perfect conditions. Spectacular action as always with a full varied entry list. One of the highlights was a long silver car powered by a Merlin engine. This will be hard to beat. Long may this great event continue - we now look forward to next year! According to Wikipedia The Brighton Speed Trials are the oldest motor race in the world! The motorbikes and cars taking on the quarter of a mile sprint on Madeira Drive in 2019 has been wonderfully captured here in this set of images by Steve Bridge.
The Merlin powered beastie was something to behold.
This club runs some amazing local motoring events: being a relatively small club, they achieve so much. Congratulations to them on another great Brighton Speed Trials is in order.
