A woman crashed her 4 wheel drive car into the side of a charity shop on Longridge Avenue in Saltdean, Brighton at 10pm yesterday evening. Thankfully she had no passengers and there wasn't anyone else involved in the impact. The woman walked from the car with apparently no serious injuries. We were told that Eyewitnesses described the vehicle mounting a nearby curb on the corner of Nutley Avenue before ploughing into the part of the shop which is normally where donated items are sorted through. Paramedics and the police were quick to the scene. It is unclear what caused her to crash her vehicle, the police have removed the car and are currently investigating. The incident has not only caused damage to the the shop but has also disrupted the gas supply. The House Project charity shop was closed today as gas maintenance engineers and building contractors were at the scene.
