93 homes get go ahead to be built on St Aubyns site in Rottingdean

Last night councillors voted nine to one to approve plans to build on the St Aubyns site in Rottingdean.
Brighton & Hove City Council planners have given the go ahead for developers to build on the old prep school St Aubyns site in Rottingdean.

Local residents, speared headed by the SAFE campaign, have protested vigorously over recent years for the scheme not to go ahead, claims of increased air pollution, traffic congestion and the nature of the type of housing have all been hot topics of contention.

The 93 homes are:
One bed room apartments - 21
Two bed room apartments - 26
Three bed room apartments -1
Two bed room houses - 17
Three bed room houses - 22
Four bedroom houses - 4
