Last night councillors voted nine to one to approve plans to build on the St Aubyns site in Rottingdean. Brighton & Hove City Council planners have given the go ahead for developers to build on the old prep school St Aubyns site in Rottingdean.
Local residents, speared headed by the SAFE campaign, have protested vigorously over recent years for the scheme not to go ahead, claims of increased air pollution, traffic congestion and the nature of the type of housing have all been hot topics of contention.
