Last night sadly Newhaven Coastguard reported that another sea mammal had been washed up deceased on Saltdean Beach.
Recently a rare Rare Sowerby's Beaked Whale was found on Saltdean Beach and now just over a week later what looks like to be a small deceased porpoise has been found on the Saltdean shoreline, though because porpoises and dolphins are so similar until identification is confirmed it unsure which species it is.

We have no further information other than in a social media post last night the Newhaven Coastguard said, ''we carried out a search at Saltdean for the deceased Dolphin. The Dolphin was located but was quite badly damaged and in too poor a condition to be taken to the Natural History Museum. The council have been tasked to remove the carcass as soon as possible.''
