Staffordshire bull terrier Max spotted a 14-year-old girl near a Sussex cliff edge The six-year-old dog refused to leave the distressed girl's side until help arrived Owner George Conner, 46, went for help and found a security guard nearby Max stayed with the girl while the security guard rang police who arrived to help For confidential support call the Samaritans on 116123 or www.samaritans.org A schoolgirl was saved from a 60ft plunge from a seaside cliff edge after a Staffordshire bull terrier sensed her distress and refused to leave her side until help arrived.
