Witness appeal: Police are searching for knife point robber who took cash from Tesco Express in Rottingdean on the 2nd of October, 2018. Police are searching for a man who carried out a knife-point robbery at a convenience shop in Rottingdean. Just before 9pm on Tuesday (2 October) the man entered Tesco Express in West Street, Rottingdean, threatened staff with a knife, and took several pounds from the tills and ran off, Nobody was hurt. He is described as white, of stocky build, about 6’ 2”, and was wearing a light grey Emporio Armani hooded top with a large white motif on the chest and the top of the hood. The hood was up. he also wore a pair of light grey tracksuit bottoms and a black face covering, possibly a scarf or balaclava, and light grey gloves. Detective Inspector Ian Still said; "This is a busy spot at the bottom of the High Street and the junction with the A259 South Coast Road. If you were passing by on Tuesday evening and saw this man or have any other information, please contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1199 of 02/10."
