Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company: Ok dog lovers, until we get the website updated, here are the direct links for tickets for the Dog Swim Day. Morning session: Dog swimmer tickets www.wegottickets.com/event/416475 Human swimmer tickets: www.wegottickets.com/event/416477 Spectator tickets: www.wegottickets.com/event/416480 Afternoon session: Dog swimmer tickets www.wegottickets.com/event/416476 Human swimmer tickets: www.wegottickets.com/event/416478 Spectator tickets: www.wegottickets.com/event/416482 Please bear in mind that every dog must be accompanied by an adult human (either swimmer or spectator). Children are welcome as spectators, but must be accompanied by a non-swimming adult. Woof! Message from the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company: Woof!! (Have we got your attention dogs? ......... Prick up your ears and save the date!). On 7th October, the CIC team are hosting their first Dog Swim Day! Yes, for the first time, you'll be able to doggy-paddle to your heart's content in the lovely big pool (unless you're of the Vertically-Challenged Persuasion, in which case you can avail yourself of the less daunting shallow pool). If you'd like to swim with your Human, that's fine ..... otherwise you can let them amuse themselves at the side of the pool by throwing a ball for you. It's a community pool, you're part of the community ........ go for it! Just as we have for Human swimming sessions, we have rules: Each of you will have to bring an adult Human with you. When you're not in the water, you'll have to have an adult Human on a lead. You can bring soft toys for your Human to throw for you (but the CIC team bear no responsibility for any other swimmers pinching your toys) We trust that you've got your Human trained to clean up after any Unfortunate Mishaps! Any swimmers behaving aggressively towards other swimmers will get a Good Telling Off! (And no, we're not being 'species-ist', that applies to 2-legged swimmers too). We are taking advice on the issue of mini-human swimmers, but are currently going with the view that only adult humans will be allowed to swim (it's too much to ask you to take responsibility for adult swimmers and littlies). Admission will be by ticket only (tickets will go on sale online in the next few days). Swimmers (of the 2 or 4 legged variety) will be £5, spectators will be £2. Initially we're planning for a 2-5pm session. If that sells out (as the other lido's who do Dog Swim Days do), then we'll add in a 10am-1pm session. Your Humans can bring a picnic, but who knows, there may be dog treats ;).
