Telscombe Cliffs Sussex Police are investigating two arsons at a block of flats in Telscombe Cliffs.
A report was made at 12.23am on Monday (December 4) with East Sussex Fire and Rescue in attendance at a flat on Telscombe Cliffs Way. There was minor damage to the stairs and wall. On Friday (December 1) at 9.45pm emergency services attended to a fire in a cupboard in the communal hallway at the same location. No major damage was caused to the flats. Detective Constable Karen Colbran said: "We are appealing to anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at either of these times over the weekend. ''We believe on both occasions the fires have been started deliberately." “It is also believed that these incidents are not linked to the series of fires which occurred in Peacehaven earlier this year.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police online quoting serial 0027 of 04/12. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Share |
