Elton John extends UK tour dates for one more night - were you at Hove County cricket ground?6/10/2019
On 9th June 2019 Elton John and his band played for the last time in Hove at the County Cricket Ground. This was the first date in the UK for his farewell tour. Now he has extended his dates at the O2 Arena London for one more night - the last concert of the tour? Tickets available 10th October.. #EltonFarewellTour Anyone that was at the the County Cricket Ground back in June enjoyed a sensational concert with a string of classic hits from Elton's back catalogue. As Elton said this tour has the best band he has ever had, and he has had some good ones in his time. For me it was the lengthened songs with plenty of improvisation, songs like Levon and Indian Sunset that were worth the entry ticket alone. Watching Elton's fingers on the keyboard was breathtaking. Ray Cooper was there on percussion - the last time I saw him was on the Single Man tour. He adds great energy to the show. The climax of the nearly three hour concert was the star of the Rocket Man film, Aaron Egerton, singing a duet with Elton - sheer magic. This was a fantastic way to kick off the UK segment of the farewell tour. Now there is an opportunity to buy tickets for what may be the last concert in the UK, and of the tour, on 17th December at the O2 Arena in London. And with any luck the same line up and more will be there. On 10th October at 10 am BST the following link goes live: ttps://www.axs.com/uk/events/378401/elton-john-extra-date-added-tickets?skin=theo2 If you would like to go, I hope you can get a ticket. At the Hove concert Elton thanked the audience for buying tickets. It was our pleasure. Good luck everyone! Comments are closed.
