'' We didn't burn him''
Have you ever wondered where the inspiration for TV show's The League of Gentlemen's spooky '' local shop for local people'' came from?
Well look no further than than our very own local village of Rottingdean!
In this 2008 video from the BBC's Comedy Map of Britain, one the shows creators, Steve Pemberton, tells us how after a visit to the village to seek and try out the 'Wishing Face' they came upon a local shop that was to give them the inspiration for Tubbs & Edward's creepy little outlet in their disturbing fictitious town of Royston Vasey.
