Feel free to explore the animal rescue charity in Sussex
Expect squawking parakeets and animals of all different species, shapes and sizes at Raystede! As you walk through the car park you'll be greeted by our friendly parrots - You may even get a 'Hello' or 'Weirdo" called to you from one of our exotic birds. Step through the gates and enter a world of diversity with hundreds of different animal species currently living at Raystede.
We rehome dogs, cats, small animals and certain birds such as hens. We also provide sanctuary to hundreds of other animals like terrapins, exotic birds, alpacas and our equine herd, so they can live out their lives in safety and contentment. Many of them were abused or came from unfortunate circumstances prior to arriving at Raystede. Our work is only made possible thanks to the our supporters
We offer a free daily guided tour around the centre at 12.15pm every day during term time (meet outside reception).
Whether you're 4, 14 or 84 years old, you'll find something to do at Raystede that you love! Whether it's a coffee and cake in our cafe, bargain hunting in our charity shop or just spending time with the animals... The choice is yours. Take a peaceful stroll through the sanctuary and past the lakes, visit our rainbow bridge or follow the sensory safari trail around site. Visit the equine herd in their field and see if you can spot the Alpacas, or stop in at the children's adventure play area.
At the weekend and during school holidays be sure to catch one of our free weekend animal talks. Browse through our charity shop, there are plenty of bargains and often a designer label to be had! When you have finished exploring treat yourself to a tasty lunch and spoil yourself with coffee and home made cakes (Vegan & Veggie options available).
Finally stock up on animal supplies and treats for your favourite furry friends - We have a wide range of pet goods available and the profits go towards caring for our animals.
Raystede is dog friendly, so feel free to bring your pooch!
